History

J-PAC was founded in 1999 as a joint venture company between Pac-Atlantic of the Philippines and Kawatetsu Transportation & Technology (KTT) of Japan.

Pac-Atlantic then was one of the fastest growing local logistics group, while KTT, being the logistics arm of then Kawasaki Steel Corporation, was the 8th largest logistics company in Japan.

J-PAC was first known as K-PAC Transport Inc., and in 2004 changed its name to J-PAC Logistics, Inc.

It handled the project cargo movements of the JFE Steel group of companies throughout the Philippines.

In 2007, local parent firm Pac-Atlantic Holdings acquired 100% of the company as its Japanese partner opted to concentrate its foreign resources from Philippines to China.

And in 2015, J-PAC acquired the activities and resources of an affiliate freight forwarder to further reinforce its commercial forwarding capability.
